Champion Home Services seeks a highly capable and trusted Assistant General Manager,
supporting the General Manager in daily operations and the continued growth of Champion
Home Services, employing 120–150 full-time team members. This role is central to the
organization, overseeing critical functions in Customer Service, Human Resources, Finance,
Facilities, and Fleet Management.

The Assistant General Manager will serve as the primary on-site Human Resources professional, manage key direct reports (Customer Service Manager, Finance Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Front Desk Receptionist), and serve as a close partner to the General Manager. As part of the leadership team, this individual will often be entrusted with sensitive information and play a vital role in fostering operational excellence, accountability, and a strong workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
• Provide leadership and operational support to the Customer Service Manager (CSM), who oversees a team of 20+ full-time CSRs and Dispatchers
• Ensuring key daily, monthly, quarterly and annual benchmarks and metrics are attained and/or exceeded
• Provide support in the form of direction and guidance on when increase in headcount is needed and be the trusted counsel to the CSM on counseling and if/when termination is necessary.

Human Resources
• Facilitate all HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and compliance
• Support employee relations, policy administration, and workforce communication
• Partner with the Leadership team at Champion Home Services to promote a positive and productive work environment

Finance Oversight
• Supervise the Finance Manager, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration (weekly
payroll exceeding $200,000)
• Oversee financial functions related to customer financing applications, accounts receivable, and petty cash management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
 
Warehouse & Fleet Management
• Oversee the Warehouse Manager and a staff of 6 employees who are responsible for materials,
equipment, and logistics
• Provide leadership for the management of a company fleet exceeding 100 vehicles, ensuring
compliance, safety, and cost efficiency
 
Office Administration
• Supervise the Front Desk Receptionist and ensure smooth office operations and professional
customer interactions
• Manage vendor relationships, office supplies, and facility needs
• Maintain organized systems for administrative records and reporting
 
Operational Leadership & Support
• Serve as a trusted advisor and direct support to the General Manager on company initiatives and projects
• Participate as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic discussions and
decision-making
• Handle confidential and sensitive company information with discretion and professionalism
 
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Office Manager, or HR/Administrative leader in a midto-large company (preferably in home services, construction, or related industries)
• Strong leadership skills with prior experience supervising multiple departments and managers
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with financial administration, payroll systems, and reporting
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
 
Preferred Skills
• Experience in the home services industry (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar)
• Knowledge of fleet management best practices
• Proficiency with HR/payroll systems, Service Titan and Element Fleet Management
